Dr Anita Heiss
Dr Anita Heiss has published non-fiction, historical fiction, chicklit, poetry and social commentary. She is a regular guest at writers' festivals and travels internationally performing her work and lecturing on Indigenous Studies. Anita is a member of the Wiradjuri nation of central New South Wales and lives in Sydney. Her latest book is Avoiding Mr Right (Bantam, 2008).

Aunty Barbara Nicholson
Barbara Nicholson is a senior Aboriginal woman from the Illawarra district of New South Wales, traditional lands of the Wadi Wadi people.She holds an Honorary Senior Fellowship in the Faculty of Law at Wollongong University. She writes and performs poetry, and her work has appeared in a number of anthologies, including the Link Up collection Life, Love and Pain and The Strength of Us as Women: Black Women Speak and the Macquarie PEN Anthology of Aboriginal Literature.

Dr Ernie Blackmore
Playwright and author Dr Ernie Blackmore is a lecturer at the Woolyungah Indigenous Centre, University of Wollongong. Dr Blackmore's first book Speakin Out Blak was released in 2008.
